Frequently Asked Questions

What is a compounded GLP-1 medication? +
Compounded GLP-1 medications are custom formulations created by licensed pharmacies to meet an individual patient’s needs. While not FDA-approved, they are made with pharmaceutical-grade ingredients in their base form (not salt form) and undergo third-party testing for potency, sterility, and safety. We carefully vet our compounding pharmacies for proper licensing, accreditation, and strict quality standards to ensure patient safety and product integrity.
What happens after I complete the intake form? +
To get started with XMD Wellness, first complete your health history intake form. Next, select your prescription type and choose your preferred billing frequency. Finally, set up your telehealth appointment with a licensed clinician, who will review your goals and medical history to create a personalized treatment plan. In some rare cases, you may have the option to skip the telehealth appointment, depending on your state’s regulations and clinical eligibility.
Do you accept insurance? +

What is peptide microdosing? +

It works in harmony your body’s natural biology, with research continuing into its potential roles in overall wellness.
